What counts as a transaction for the platform fee?

Card payments collected through your TimberCloud storefront. Quotes, deposits paid offline, and manual orders you log against a customer record never carry a platform fee — only successful card charges through our checkout do. Stripe’s standard 2.9% + $0.30 processing applies on top and is separate.

Is a website included, or do I need my own?

Every plan includes a full website builder — on par with Shopify — so you don’t need a separate website or hosting subscription. Pick from five professional themes, let AI draft your copy from your catalog, and connect a custom domain with free SSL. Already have a site? Skip the builder and embed your storefront on it with a single snippet — it works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, or any custom site.

Can TimberCloud build and manage my website for me?

Yes. If you’d rather not touch any of it, our Web & IT Services team designs and builds your site, migrates your domain, sets up email, DNS, and SSL, integrates the storefront, and handles ongoing maintenance and support. It’s a hands-on, done-for-you service with custom pricing — book a call and we’ll scope it with you.

How do I get the Kitchen Designer?

The 3D Kitchen Designer is included free in Build, Production, and Enterprise — lay out rooms and cabinet runs in 3D, quote a whole kitchen catalog-free straight from your material library, and turn a design into an order. On Commerce you can add it as a $99/mo add-on. One thing to know: build sheets and CAM/CNC export from the layout are a Build-plan capability, so the Commerce add-on covers design and quoting, and the shop-floor files unlock when you move to Build. Free plans don’t include the designer.

Can I switch tiers without losing data?

Yes. Products, orders, customers, and pricing rules carry across every paid tier — moving from Commerce to Build to Production is a single click in your billing settings. Upgrades are pro-rated for the current period; downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you never lose mid-cycle data.

How does the 17% annual discount work?

Pick Annual on the billing toggle above and the price drops from the monthly rate to ten months of revenue collected up-front. Commerce annual is $1,990 (vs $2,388 if paid monthly), Build $4,990, Production $9,990. You can switch back to monthly at the next renewal.

Do you offer a free trial?

Every paid plan starts with a 14-day full-feature trial. A credit card is required to start the trial — you won’t be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then.

Can I bring my own Stripe account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TimberCloud uses Stripe Connect, which means payouts route straight to your own Stripe account on your usual schedule. We never hold your funds, and you keep direct access to your Stripe dashboard for refunds, disputes, and reporting.

What happens if I outgrow a tier mid-month?

Accepted Answer

Nothing breaks. Hit a feature gate (e.g. you need build sheets on Commerce) and you’ll see an upgrade prompt — accept it and the new tier unlocks instantly with pro-rated billing. There are no overage fees on orders, users, or storage.
